Go to the people,
live among them, love them.
Start with what they know,

build on what they have.
But of the best leaders,
when their task is accomplished
and the work is done,
The people all remark
'we have done it ourselves'.

Now THAT is community development...

Pamukkale - mineral terraces and gstring bikinis

From Epheses it was off inland to the World Heritage listed Pamukkale. This is not pictures of snow, its actually travertines/terraces made from the flowing carbonate minerals, they are filled with hot springs. Fucking amazing place, the word means "cotton castle" in Turkish and it really suits the place. Here, you can swim in the springs, marvel at the pools that the minerals have christalised into, or watch the hundreds of tourists in bikinis and g-strings wandering around the place, looking into the lens of their camera in erotic ways, rather than looking at the amazing sights. Anyway, not much to tell here, except it was great to be in water, be in the sun (its about 35 here now) and enjoy the natural surrounds. One night stop here, then it was back to Istanbul to hopefully collect my fucking passport!
(This is a 'fern-friendly' short blog!).
